In 2015 the Women’s Ministry at Country Oaks Baptist Church is focusing on strengthening body and soul. We offer the following encouragements as you seek to glorify God in your body:
from Rex Russell’s What the Bible Says About Healthy Living (in my own words)
Principle 1 – Eat the Foods God created for you.
Principle 2 – Don’t alter God’s design (in how the food is prepared).
Principle 3 – Don’t be addicted. Don’t let any food or drink become your God.
Encouragement from THE Book:
1 Corinthians 6:12 (NIV) “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.
Genesis 4:7 (NIV) If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
Note to self:
